Camille Vella-Wilkinson has over 20 years experience in Human Resources,
Multicultural Competencies and Project Management. Her background
includes: EEO Compliance, Mediation and Total Quality Management.
She is also certified to deliver DISC Assessments and facilitate
follow-up action planning. A recipient of the Roy Wilkins Renown
Service Award, she was nationally recognized by the NAACP for her
significant contributions in the areas of civil/human rights, race
relations, equal opportunity, human resources and public service.
She retired from the US Navy and started her own business, Higher & Hire, as a Career Coach and Diversity Trainer. An award winning Public Speaker, Camille has conducted various seminars on career/job transition, the prevention of sexual harassment, cultural diversity and numerous other management and Human Rights initiatives. She is a graduate of Leadership RI and was recognized as “A Woman Who Makes a Difference” during the 2002 RI Women’s History Month celebrations.
Camille graduated from Long Island University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology. She completed an international course of study at the Defense Resource Management Institute and later became a certified trainer through the National Multicultural Institute as well as the Institute for the Study and Practice of Nonviolence. Camille has completed two advanced degrees: a Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law and a Masters of Science Degree in labor relations/Human Resource from URI.
