Mediation

Personal reactions to conflict will vary according to past experiences, what is at stake, locked positions and a number of multicultural elements. People attempting to resolve their own conflicts may collaborate but generally resort to compromise, avoidance, accommodation and even aggressive competitiveness. The final outcome from such an adversarial path is typically win-lose or lose-lose where the relationship may be permanently damaged.

In mediation, a trained neutral facilitates a discussion and hopefully, a satisfactory agreement between those in conflict. The end result is win-win because both parties are assisted in identifying and addressing key issues. This is a positive method of dispute resolution that opens channels of communication and preserves the relationship between the parties.

As trained and certified Mediators, we are capable of providing mediation services, depending upon your needs and preferences. Our experiences include success as court-appointed mediators for small claims, including landlord-tenant and other contractual arrangements. Additionally, based on our education, professional experience and business acumen, we are pleased to assist you with facilitated negotiations.
